How it Works?
The PetSafe SmartDoor has an electronic chip or tag that is located in your dog’s collar. When your pup comes close to the electronic door, this SmartKey unlocks the pet door and grants your little guy or gal entry into your home. You do not have to worry about him or her locking up, as the door automatically locks once he or she has safely passed through. The best part is that if you have various pets, they can also have keys to this electronic pet door.
Pet Door Features
This PetSafe SmartDoor comes in various sizes so that your pet doesn’t have to squeeze through the frame. The door sensor can be adjusted to as far as 3 feet from the door so that the door will unlock and your pet can pass through. The door is made out of Plexiglas and can lock on both sides in case you do not want your pet to pass through. This door uses batteries and is energy efficient with insulated flaps and a super tight weather resistant seal. Up to 5 pets can use the pet door, including cats and dogs.
